Atlantis Saddle Leather Coaster Set

Four round coasters, and a leather tray that keeps them together.

A set of four saddle coasters cut from thick full-grain leather, each one edge-stitched by hand. They come stacked in a matching leather tray with snap-fastened corners, so the set stays together on the table instead of scattering across the kitchen. Unsnap the four corners and the tray lies flat — or leave it up and use it for keys and rings when the coasters are out.

Leather is a quietly good material for a coaster: it absorbs condensation, doesn’t clatter, and doesn’t slide. With use, the surface picks up marks and a deeper color — the set looks better after a year of dinners than it did out of the box.
